compatible DVD decoder is not installed
I have done a clean install of Win XP home on my Dell
(originally came with Win Me) and when I go to use the DVD player I get: "Windows media player cannot play this dDVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer." Details give: Error id: 0xC00D116D, remedy id: 0x00000000 Please help! |

1. Open XP's "Help and Support"
2. Type DVD in the search box, hit enter. 3. Click on "DVD Troubleshooter". 4. You probably need a new DVD decoder.
