I played with anything electrical - phones, old radios and TVs - as a
child and then joined the Royal Navy as an Artificer Apprentice in 1962.
I studied Control Engineering for 5 years (when computers I worked with
had thermionic valves!) before deciding that a life in overalls was not
for me!
