Installing Win10 updates.

Win10 pro. In Win7 there's an option on *whether* to install the downloaded updates. In Win10 there is a *when* to install downloaded updateds, together with a confusing small table to select a future time. I always get this wrong and several times the computer restarts during an overnight download session and I lose a lot of time. Has Win10 the Win7 option, to leave the installation of the downloaded updates manually? Peter Try this article: http://www.cnet.com/uk/how-to/windows-10-settings-menu-the-update-recovery-tab/ I am not on Windows 10 at present so can't put my own pictures here yet. Good luck. |

See Method 5/6 and "Configure Automatic Updates". http://www.askvg.com/fixing-windows-...stall-problem/ http://media.askvg.com/articles/imag...oup_Policy.png Now, that would work in Win 10 Pro, as there would be a GPEDIT. (I think I used GPEDIT the other day in my Win10.) There is supposed to be some means of installing GPEDIT in Home as well. So that would be an extra recipe. https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/c...ndows_10_home/ Paul |
