cd rom no longer working in xp
Thanks for the quick response. As for the problem, I no
longer have direct cd on the computer and it is not in the msconfig info so I am not able to disable it. I have not had any success with upgrading cd creator as they do not seem to have an xp compatable driver. thanks anyway. If you think of anything else, let me know... -----Original Message----- Hello, Download the newest upgrade for easy cd creator and your problem should be solved. Either that or remove the direct cd service. To do this click on start-run-msconfig, then click on the services tab and disable direct cd. You will also have to click on the startup tab and disable it from there. Upon reboot your drives should show up again.. Let me know if it helps! Robert -----Original Message----- I have xp home edition and somehow it inadvertantly deleted my drivers for both cd roms. I've tried go to driver sites, and called gateway (no help)I am a victim of the easycd creator issue. anyone know how to get driver information back. I even went into dos prompt to see if the d & e drives are recognized but they are not. . . |

What version of ezcd are you trying to update? Versions 5.0 basic and
platinum can be updated to 5.3 with the patch. Roxio has a user forum.....you might want to check it out. -- Curt. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- wrote in message ... Thanks for the quick response.
