Default AGP8x - AGP 4x

My motherboard supports AGP 4x (AGP 2.0).

Now I want to install a AGP 8x graphic card which is backward compatible.

Will the agp 8x card fit to my motherboards' agp slot?

You should go to the website of your particular card and see what
motherboards it will fit. Your question has nothing to do with
Windows XP.
