I need help
-----Original Message----- Just recently bought a 200GB hard drive. This would be my second hard drive. I have the master running on a PCI/ATA serial board. The 200 GB Drive is on my IDE slot of my motherboard. I cannot get Windows Xp to assign the drive. It recognizes the drive with the wrong capacity(131GB). If anyone could help me out please e-mail me. TY .If i'm not mistaken windows currently has a 137gb limit. However some Manufacturers have utilities to break the barrier. Such as Maxtor's MaxBlast3 utility. Perhaps a PCI card for the hard drive might work as well. just a thought. |
