Default Changing files on a CD

CB, although you are the only person for which an account
has been created, Win XP has a built in default account.
Log in as "Administrator", the passwored will be blank
(though I suggest you create a password). To do this you
must start up in "Safe Mode". But, that is a side issue,
consult "assigning permissions" on your system so you
have the appropriate rights. Good luck.

I am trying to edit files on a cd that I burnt. It

says
that I need to contact the administrator to get
permission to do so. I am the only one listed on this
computer and am the admin on here. Any ideas on how to
get around this error message? Any help would be

greatly
appreciated.

Hey CB.
I've had similar issues on a PC that I use an external
burner on. The only way that I was able to fix this

was
to re-install the CD drivers under the Administrator
profile rather than your regular profile. For some
reason that seemed to expand all capability to all

users
rather than just the Admin.

I hope that helps.

Thank you for the info dmc. I am the administrator on

the
computer. There is no other accounts on here so I am not
sure where to go from here. Should I try uninstalling

the
cd-rw? I am computer illiterate on many things LOL.
Thanks,
CB
.
