Default screen shot?

(sent originally 2/21, but didn't show up in posts)

For some reason, my screen shot function doesn't work. I thought the way it
was supposed to work is when I press the key labelled Prt Scrn, it was
supposed to copy the active screen, and then I could go to some blank
document window and paste it in.

However, no workee that way. So, how do I get a screen snapshot??? Is this
a blatant case of operator trubs?

Do a print screen as you have done, then open Paint and paste the contents
there. Start\All Programs\Accessories\Paint.

PrintScrn copies the entire desktop. Alt-PrtScrn copies the active =
window. And not all programs support direct pasting of graphics from =
the clipboard. =20

another option is the shareware "5 clicks" that allows you to pick out any
portion of your screen . IE. here is a portion of your msg.

Works great for me.

Default screen shot?

I assume you are able to capture the image but are having trouble printing
it. I have found that Word and Wordpad work well for Pasting the capture.
Notepad does not work.

For some reason, my screen shot function doesn't work. I thought the way

it
was supposed to work is when I press the key labelled Prt Scrn, it was
supposed to copy the active screen, and then I could go to some blank
document window and paste it in.

However, no workee that way. So, how do I get a screen snapshot??? Is

this
a blatant case of operator trubs?

Sorry, just joining in. I am UNABLE to capture the
screen. Tried prt scrn, alt-prt_scrn, and nothing shows
up on clipboard. I work on 3 very similar computers at
work(the same hardware, XP Pro). It works on 1, but not
on the other 2. Wondering if you can switch 'clipboard
(prt Scrn) function on an off. If so, how??? thx.

Is there an F-Lock key on the keyboards for the 2 machines this is not
working on? If yes, try engaging it and then give Print Screen another go.
