It could be that your AV already did something about it. And in another thread, someone else has another suggestion for what the name implies. Yet, they're doing AV cleanup on the thing. http://www.sevenforums.com/system-se...-chrome-2.html Microsoft's Enterprise Mode Site List Manager Tool for IE11 So maybe the name is picked as a disguise, but if you find randomly named executables in there, that would be a bad thing. OP I have been working on this since I posted it I think I have the answer First it is "Emie" not "ernie" EmieBrowserModeList EmieSiteList EmieUserList This is what Microsoft says about the folders and the files. http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/downl....aspx?id=42501 From the above and other sites the EMIE folders are part of the Enterprise mode of Internet Explorer, and unless you are removing the Enterprise mode should be left a lone. |

First it is "Emie" not "ernie" EmieBrowserModeList EmieSiteList EmieUserList As far as I can see, no one said it was "ernie"? -- Carpe Diem "Make things as simple as possible, but not simpler" (Albert Einstein). |

Agreed, but I can see how it might look like "ERNIE" before one's first cup of coffee. Agreed too ;-)) -- Carpe Diem "Make things as simple as possible, but not simpler" (Albert Einstein). |

Very strange, those folders are part of the IE11 enterprise mode, seems like malwarebytes might have been in error. See: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn640687.aspx Where does it state that? I see nothing at all there concerning "EmieUserList". It is MALWARE and nothing to do with Micro$oft. -- Free Dropbox: http://db.tt/aI6WBZ7w |

Yes, EmieUserList is dropped by a Trojan or other malware. Remove all suspicious files that are dropped by this virus now. http://www.pccaretips.com/blog/how-t...cessfully.html |
