The printer has two BW cartridges, so-called 410 and410XL. Says I need to replace them. I did and it says the new ones are not acceptable. The new one is labelled 'compatible with 410XL from LDProducts.com. you mean your epson printer refuses to accept counterfeit cartridges. Does this printer have to have genuine Epson cartridges? yes, or at least ones that are properly cloned. I blew my printer name. I shud have said Epson XP830. The new cartridges are remanufactures, not genuine. The error screen says 'you need to replace the following carts: 410, 410XL. My old carts were said to need to be replaced too. Epson will not answer my email queries. Neither will ink dealers I tried. All other sites I see on Google want me to pay for expert helps. Thanks J The Google search engine is quite fickle now. Some parts of the day, I just get gibberish for search results. Just now, I tried again, and at least I'm seeing procedures returned to try out. My search terms we "Epson XP830 override chip" https://www.techwalla.com/articles/h...one-cartridges Cloned ink cartridges may confuse the Epson printer. Step 1 Install your cloned ink cartridge into the Epson printer. Step 2 Go to "Start Control Panel" on your computer. Step 3 Double-click on "Printer." Step 4 Right-click on the icon of your Epson printer and choose "Printer Preferences" at the bottom of the dialog box. Step 5 Click on the tab entitled "Speed and Progress" and see the Epson printer monitor box. Step 6 Check off the box that says "Disable Epson Status Monitor" to turn off the ink monitor. Step 7 Click "Save" and close the windows. Your cloned ink cartridges should now work. HTH, Paul i asked a EBAY cartridge vendor (pc-universe) about this, and he said: Compatibility: XP530/XP630/XP635/XP640/XP830 NOTE: Cartridges only work with above printer models purchased before 2018. If your printer was purchased before 2018 but updated Epson's firmware either manually or automatically, your printer won't work. PLS READ carefully before purchase. J |

Lose a wired headphone, gain a headphone charger? use the same usb charger used to charge the phone. no big deal. plus, the better headphones last a week on a single charge in typical use, often more, so it isn't any sort of a burden. or use the built in speakers on the phone. |

wrote: The headphones included in my phone's box plug into all my devices (including my W10 devices) no adapter needed. for now they do... Your "Now" timeline may outlive us both... only if you're deathly ill. the transition is *already* in progress. within a few years they'll be very common and within ten years, analog headphone jacks will be the exception. now that all tvs are digital, the [analog TV] adapter isn't needed anymore. That's progress. But...all my digital TVs still have analog headphone jacks. which are unused, and that's an entirely different use case anyway. use the same usb charger used to charge the phone [and bluetooth headphones]. Won't work on my bluetooth-less AAA powered SW/AM/FM pocket radio I use camping. Fortunately it has a standard headphone jack. for now. plus, the better headphones last a week on a single charge in typical use, often more, so it isn't any sort of a burden. My wired headphones last forever. No headphone charge ever needed... nothing lasts forever, and you have to charge your phone a lot more than bluetooth headphones, along with tablets, laptops, camera batteries and many other devices. charging bluetooth headphones, which doesn't need to be done anywhere near as often, is not an issue. a bigger issue is when wired headphones get tangled, or caught on stuff pulling it out of the ears. no matter how carefully you try to wind the cord, it will always knot itself up when you're not looking. headphones are not going away. it's just the plug that is going to change. if you want to use headphones, you still can. there's even a compatible set *in* *the* *box*. or use the built in speakers on the phone. Yep, phone speakers sound great for listening to music. Not. some do, and who said anything about listening to music. people use headphones for content *other* than music, including phone calls, podcasts, movies, all of which are mostly or entirely voice. |

My wired headphones last forever. No headphone charge ever needed... you have to charge your phone a lot more... I just lay my phone on its wireless charger overnight. Easy peasy. along with tablets, laptops, camera batteries and many other devices. I agree that charging all that stuff is a pain. Except my headphones which require no charging. a bigger issue is when wired headphones get tangled, or caught on stuff pulling it out of the ears. no matter how carefully you try to wind the cord, it will always knot itself up when you're not looking. You have all those problems with your digital wired phones?? My analog wired phones are never that bad... |

123456789 rs232 serial ports were once universal. Some technology fades away, some doesn't. Analog headphones have been with us for over a hundred years. Technology that is simple, effective, and just works, sticks around. My GUESS is that since most all current devices including (gasp) some Apple devices have an analog headphone jack, your changeover just may take a wee bit longer than you think. My wired headphones last forever. No headphone charge ever needed... you have to charge your phone a lot more... Maybe I could actually charge my phone a lot LESS since I can leave the Bluetooth radio OFF when using a WIRED headphone. |

It's not the chip (DAC), it's the speakers.
