new hd not seen in bios

Default new hd not seen in bios

i bought a WD1600AAJB, but it would not see it, i have that last bios that was made for the m/b tries all different jumper settings on drive, different cable etc, but my original drive works so i know its not the m/b ? so im sending the hd back for a raplacement.
does the 6590 kt4 ultra take 160gb drives. my origina drive was an ibm deskstar 60gb that has the click of death but still sometimes works. s there something in the m/b bios i cna try i cleared nv ram to no avail, then put my ibm back in and it worked. so....
any one help asap before i post off new maybe broke hd

i should have put m/b msi kt4 ultra 6590

How are you connecting the drive? Master, Slave or stand-alone.

All WD drives are very unique and the IDE control jumper is very
important.

i tried all these, its the only one that was on there website, plus i phoned the tech support, and tried on another pc

yep, tried all settings on that page, same result sadly
i have sent hd back to supplier for another, i hope it works
