Default More Wireless Help!!

Having already posted here requiring help, I need a little more.

We have a number of laptops (XP Home) connected to a server (XP Pro) via a
D-Link DI 614+ Broadband Router. But still having problems sharing files.
We can copy etc files from one laptop to another, but when it comes to
copying/saving files to the server, we get an assortment of dialog boxes
telling us that "Access is denied, make sure the disk is not full or write
protected, and that the file is not currently in use".

We disabled NIS and disabled a number of protocols (NWLink NetBIOS, NWLink
IPX/SPX/Netbios compatible Transport Protocol) that could also cause us
problems but without success. In actual fact when we disabled the Protocols
none of the laptops could see the server and vice-versa. We can't
understand why, because we have just a basic network setup using XP
(Pro&Home).

This wireless networking seems to be very hit and miss
Could it possibly be anything to do with permissions?

Any help very much appreciated

S

Hey Bud
This link is to another thread in a different NG that jives with your
problem
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Deve..._20342451.html
and here is the link to MS KB in regards to permissions
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;q308418

I hope you get to the bottom of it.....
and yes the wireless stuff is "challenging".

Post your results if you would
