Default Printer Complete Notification

I am using Windows XP Professional Version 2002. When printing a job to a printer via a Print Server I am not getting a "Printing Complete" message from the Messenger Service. When I print to the same printer via the Print server using a PC with Windows 20
00, the message is received okay. My Messgenger service at it's depenedents are Started. This is happening with othe XP users also.

You miss out the most important page...... make and model of printer and
whether the software driver package you are using supports a 'status
monitor'.
