I would like only Favourites and Computer to show on the navigation pane
in Windows Explorer.

Can Libraries, Homegroup and Network be removed from it using the registry?

This has been talked about twice recently. for Libraries:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}\ShellFolder\Attributes

Change value from b080010d to b090010d

I expect there are similar tweaks for homegroup and Network.
You'll have to look them up. I'd start with a search including
"ShellFolder\Attributes" and the name of the item you want
to remove.

If you don't feel comfortable with registry edits, the "Winaero Tweaker"
tool can do these changes for you...
