Can't Print Faxes woith Network Printer

Using Windows XP, one home computer is near the phone line and has a
fax modem, and another is where I have room for the printer. A
wireless network connects them.

The printer is an HP 1320 connected to a parallel port.

Every application that I have tried on the fax computer prints on the
network printer without any problems. Properties, print test page
works fine.

However, when I try to get Win XP Fax service to print faxes to the
network printer, I get an unspecified error, and restarting the print
job gets the same error. The failure is hard.

When I print direct from the fax viewer, everything prints fine.

Reinstalling the network printer made no difference.

Anyone got any ideas as to what is going on?
