Window XP Home eventually starts ok.
But the normal DOS and Windows screen that used to show the loading bar scale doesn't appear and there is a blank screen with an error message that pops up about 7 times before XP starts that says "unsupported mode" together with a V (Value) and H (value). What does this mean. It all started when I replaced the on-board shared graphics card with a Radeon 9250 |

The H and V values are the pixel numbers corresponding to the location on
the monitor of the dispaly. Boot into Safe Mode, open Device Manager, delete/remove ALL instances of the display adapters you find, reboot, and Windows will re-detect the new video card (Assuming you did shut off the on-board video in the BIOS). Then you install the latest driver software from ATI. "Bob Neumann" wrote in message ... Window XP Home eventually starts ok. The H and V values are in fact "H 35.9" Kh and "V 59.9 Hz" which sounds like
some type of frequency thing ? "Jerry" wrote: The H and V values are the pixel numbers corresponding to the location on the monitor of the dispaly.
