Default Additional Fonts folder

The normal font folder is /windows/fonts.

It displays not only the filename but also the font name, which is
often not apparent from the filename. This is very useful to me.

I'd like to have another folder, on a different drive, display both
file and font name as well, but I can't figure out how to do it.
Clicking on the details bar allows me to add various columns such as
'camera', 'artist', 'track' etc. to the display, a nice touch but none
of the choices is 'font name'.

Is there a way to do this?

There's a TTF Extension from Microsoft that adds a number of tabs so you can
view more information about a font when you right-click on properties. I'm
not sure of the download location anymore, or even the exact name --
something like ttfext.exe.

I like FontNavigator, a small font management program that used to come with
Word Perfect from Corel. Maybe it still does. I have mine set up with
folders for different groups of fonts. Click on the font, you get the name,
the name of it in the Fonts folder, and a sample of text. Very handy,
especially when working with specialized fonts.

I hope you can find it.
