Default Work Offline Problem

I have two computers connected to the internet by a cable
modem and a router. I shutdown the one in my bedroom
every night. The first time I boot up in the morning and
click on Internet Explorer, I get the message, "No
connection to the Internet is currently available, To
view Internet content that has been saved: click Work
Offline or Try Again. When I click Try Again, it
connects and all is fine until I shutdown again.

This annoying bug started all of a sudden and I have no
idea on where it is comming from? Does anyone have a clue?

What happens if you just wait a bit longer until you connect to the
Internet from this machine? The network connections will be activated
after the GUI has started so the network may not be available
immediately after the Windows start.
