Default How do I get rid of logon window after starting Windows XP?

Hi everyone! I need your help

I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP. Windows XP would start
without a logon window, which is great. I then downloaded and installed all
the security patches and updates. After doing this, when I boot up XP, I get
a user account logon window, I then click OK without entering a password,
and XP continues the boot process. I do not want to go through this every
time I boot up. I went to User Accounts in the Control Panel where there is
"Maurice ' for the Computer Administrator and a Guest account, which is
turned off. After selecting the Guest account, there is not an option to
delete the guest account. How do I delete the guest account which is what I
was told would enable XP to boot up completely without my intervention with
the Windows logon?

Thanks,
Maurice

The issue is not the guest account, whether its enabled or not. Click
Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 Uncheck Users must enter a
username and password........... Click Apply. Enter your desired username
and password, if any.

See "How to Enable Automatic Logon in Windows"

If you downloaded the .net framework, right click my computermanagelocal users
and groupsusersdelete the .net user account. That should do it in addition to
the other excellent advice by other posters.
