Default What is the difference between these two registry headers?

In one .reg file I have it shows (at the top):
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
and the other:
REGEDIT4

What is the difference and can I manually change REGEDIT4 to v5?

Regedit 5 format reg files support a wider range of data types. Windows =
98 and earlier can't use Ver 5.

You can change the 4 to 5 but only 2000/ME/XP will read the reg file.
