I just installed Win XP on a replacement HD. Disconnected
the original HD and used same connections. Installed HD using XP CD and formatted using NTFS, it is 40 GB on a Dell 8100 with 384MB RAM. Problem is it assigns the drive letter for this drive (40GB) to E: and makes the internal zip C: and my external HD F: I tried to change the letters but it won't allow me to make the change in disk management. any ideas |

I can't believe that is the only solution for changing
the drive letters. this was a clean install and I do have an upgrade but also have the necessary CDs to show that I had the programs previously. this is an internal zip drive Thank you -----Original Message----- http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en- us;304776 -- Cari (MS-MVP Windows Client - Printing, Imaging & Hardware) www.coribright.com "LouA" wrote in message ...
