"sounds & audio" doesn't stay on "speakers" -> goes to "headphones"
Windows XP Pro. Just a simple annoying problem which is driving me crazy.
In my "Sounds & Audio Devices Properties" window (from control panel), I set my "Advanced" in "speaker settings" under the "volume" tab to "Desktop stereo speakers". This, in my opinion, should be the default. In fact when I hit "restore defaults" in "performance" tab, the "desktop stereo speakers" remain chosen. They will be chosen until I shut off for the night and re-boot the next day. Then, it goes back to the setting of "headphones" !!! How can I get it to stay on "desktop stereo speakers" ??? I have two great speakers and I don't want to keep changeing the settings every day. Thanks in advance. |
