Can someone please tell this dummy what correct settings are necessary
in IE11 so that videos will play with from some sites? They run fine
when using Mozilla Firefox.
Thanks,
wrenden

Have you updated Flash for IE 11 lately?

Is HTML5 Media enabled? That is a Mozilla (Firefox and SeaMonkey)
option, but I do not know if it is an IE option.

Donald Trump claims everyone likes him. Does that
include his ex-wives? How about the students who
discovered that their education at Trump University
was worthless? And how about the contractors,
suppliers, and employees he stiffed in his several
bankruptcies?

Here is one:

It plays OK with Firefox but not IE11.

Also I have no problem playing YouTube.

I just viewed the Xfinity video with both SeaMonkey 2.40 and Internet
Explorer 11 without any problems. With SeaMonkey, it appeared that the
video is a Flash presentation. Although IE 11 also displayed the same
presentation, I do not have the ActiveX version of Flash. Thus, I
suspect that the video is in several different formats and that the Web
page sniffs for display capabilities to choose which format.

It's actually wrapped in this. So there is a "player" that
calls either Flash or HTML5.

And to boot, it does geolocation, and the video will
not play in my location, because I'm in Canada. That's
one of the jobs of the player, putting the player in the
"DRM" side of the business. The player wrapper is
not there to "enhance my experience" :-(

I can see this by right-clicking the Flash pane and
the identifier is in the resulting popup.
