FTP Problem with Network Places
I am trying to navigate a Linux machine using the FTP feature in the
Netowrk Places folder. When I connect to the Linux box, I am placed in my user's home directory. I need to navigate to the root (i.e. '/') but I can't seem to figure out how to change to the root directory. I've tried things like: ftp://mymachine/../.. but it isn't working. I get a "The page cannot be displayed" error page in the window when I try it. Ideas? |
