Win XP hangs with some internet apps
-----Original Message----- Hi all, I have a new version of XP and an old version of Win2000. XP hangs when connected to the internet and I attempt any of the following: 1. Run Windows Update - gets to 66% of checking and then hangs 2. Try to send an email with attachment 3. Try to connect to some websites (no apparent pattern) Todd, Log in to WInXP as you normally do. Check for any folders with the name "temp". Probably under your x:\Documents&Settings\'username'\?. Make sure the folder is not full of '0'size files. Delete the ones that you can. If the folder is full it may take a while to delete all of the files. Be patient with it! Any ideas? Thanks, T . |
