Default Problem with XPProSP2 - File cannot be saved

Publisher 2003 & Researcher 2001 cannot save files while the destination
directories are flooded with TEMP files they create.

I have a feeling it is an XP problem rather than Office or Encarta's.

The only difference with other Office 2003 products is that Word, Excel and
PP files are saverd O.K. though their destination directories are also
flooded with TEMP files they produce.

Anyone has any idea how to stop it?

Suspect a permissions setting issue, the "temp" files should be deleted
when the "original file" is closed. This is not happening, so what
permissions are given to the user for the location?
