Default Windows XP SP2 download problem

Hi!

My system had been working fine until yesterday. Yesterday, I tried to
install one reputed antivirus software and scanned and deleted some files on
its suggestion. After this incident, I could not download anything using
SAVE AS. If I do, at he very last point, it stops downloading i.e. at 99%
and hence I could not download anything. Could anybody suggest me a solution
for this problem?

Give the name/version of the 'reputed antivirus software'...
Does said 'reputed antivirus software' have an undo feature (quarantine,
etc...)?

Default Windows XP SP2 download problem

First of all, thanks for your reply Mr. Stanley.

Yes Mr Stanley, it had, but as my friends suggest it is a real mess having
it, i uninstalled the program.

I am not sure if the problem is because of the software and that is why I
didn't mention the name of the antivirus.

But the problem of "unable to download anything" still exists and I ougth to
solve the problem at the earliest and that is why I came here.

Any guidance to lead the right direction to solve the issue too will be
highly appreciated.

Step one in troubleshooting - list what changed between 'working as
expected' and 'not working as expected'.

You did this - by stating that after you installed and utilized *unnamed*
antivirus software, things didn't seem to be working correctly. Please name
said antivirus so that we might better know what has happened... If that is
the only thing you did between working and not working - then knowing what
caused the damage, what you removed, etc - is the key...
