Default System Icons and Themes

When I first choose and apply a Theme I get all of the Themes icons, but, the System icons (My Computer, Network Places & Recycle Bin) revert back to the default ones. Any Ideas??

I had a similar problem & posted what I found he

ewwindow=3D1&safe=3Doff&selm=3DORPo7maCEHA.2616%40 TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl

The fix is:

Start - Run - Regedit

Navigate to:
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ex plorer\Clsid"
(HKCU =3D HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT)

Right-click the folder icon for this key & select 'Permissions'

Click 'Advanced' - click 'Add' - type "System" - click 'OK'

Put a check in the 'Deny' column for the 'Set Value' permission.

'OK' your way out.

My custom icons are staying put & I haven't seen any adverse effects.
