Default Strange desktop folder bar

Hi,

Somehow i've ended up with a folder bar down the left hand side of my
desktop which takes up to about 20% of the aailable screen. In it there are
3 headings 'Folder Tasks' - 'Other Places' and 'Details'. It's a pest and I
don't want it but cannot get rid of it, Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Mike

It's called the "Common Tasks Bar.

To get rid of it, go to Doug Knox's site, www.dougknox.com. On
the left, click Win XP Fixes, then Remove Common Tasks from
Desktop.
