Intel cpu bug fix will slow intel processors down
A serious design flaw in "all modern" Intel cpu's has been discovered.
It potentially allows access to what should be protected kernel memory. All the vendors are rushing to patch the bug soon, but the fix will slow down the systems by as much as 20% or more. The bug shows up in context switching. Details are still proprietary, but here's useful info. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/0...u_design_flaw/ |
