Re problem with fujifilm dpc-r1 memory card reader

I have two computer one has windows xp home ed. with all updates the other
has windows xp pro. sp2 with all updates. I installed the fujifilm dpc_r1
memory card reader on both computers. with the disk that came with the
reader. Both went through the installations process with no problem , but
when I went to read my memory card the windows xp pro computer read the
memory card and I was able to get the pictures. When I tried with my other
computer with windows xp home ed. It seemed to recgonised the the memory card
but it says the card needs to be formated. even when I form,at it and take
some mor pictures , It still the same problem . Itried many times to
reintstall the progra and drivers for the card on the computer . Any
Suggestions
