I don't want to be a 'party pooper' but I thought personal messages are not
in keeping with the intent of these NGs or are these NGs MVP fiefdoms?

Default Congratulations new MVP.

A challenge for the new man.

I'm running p4, 2.2ghz, 512 mb ddr ram, 60g hd, xp pro and everything is
working, if not correctly, at least to my satisfaction.

I have the new sp2 cd lying beside my machine still in it's sheath because I
have read of so many horror stories that I know darned well at least some of
them are true.

Can anyone give me/us a short definitive list of what we would gain by
installing the cd?

Notice I said short list. Not paragraph after paragraph of gobble-dee-goop
listing it's virtues in terms half of us won't understand anyway. Just
convince me/us that we want/need it.

Glenn

PS. just noticed this thing is crossposted. Any one can answer but I'll be
watching from microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and support

It's not short, but it's comprehensive: List of fixes included in
