Default Partitions for XP sp2

I just got Part Magic 8 and when I make a partition it gets cancelled as soon
as the computer boots up, when windows reappears the partition didn't get
made.
Any known issues?

Open your Partition Magic 8 program and from
the Toolbar select Help Flash Tutorial.
I think you forgot to click on "Apply" in the
left column shown under "Operations Pending"

To create partitions, you do not normally require Partition Magic. Disk
Managment allows to to create a new partition, from unsued space, without a
reboot.

If you are using Partition Magic to resize/move/split partiitons, then you
need to "Apply Change" before rebooting. This will signal a special
Partition Magic process to start before XP fully boots up on next boot time.

Yes, it is after I hit reply that it asks to reboot, After it has rebooted
drive C stays the same as before with no change at all.
I also tried Disk management and it doesn't let me create new partitions.
Any ideas? anyone.
