Default Build an XP-SP2 Recovery Disc/Slipstreaming Service Pack 2

Hope I'm posting to the right group, as being a newbie to Administration, I
have the 'limited' mind-set of thinking of Administration solely as
administrator rights. Probably because I'm currently intimidated by
adminstrator rights, but I'll learn. Anyway, if not the right group, please
advise and I'll repost correctly.

Anyway, PCMag wrote a how-to article on the above subject.

I have both the original Windows XP disk (don't know if it included SP1
update or if I downloaded it) & the SP2 disk.
So, quite simply, is this safe to do? I remember being indoctrinated as to
not ever putting anything on the root directory.

Thank you,
Janis

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

or

AutoStreamer 1.0.33
