I have exactly the same problem, i thought it was my
lexmark z65 so i brought a brandnew printer (left me
broke) and i have exactly the same problem. microsoft
directed me to lexmark (after me telling the guy on the
phone that it was a microsoft issue) have you worke out
how to fix the problem (if so PLEAEEEEESE help me out)
I have been made aware that upgrading home computers to xp
can cause this problem.
-----Original Message-----
I have a Dell Dimension PC and Lexmark Z65 color ink jet
printer. Usually, when my printer stops working I just
uninstall it and reinstall the driver, and everything's
fine. But now my print spooler has stopped and can't be
restarted, so I can't use my printer. I've spent
countless hours/days on the phone with Dell, have
reloaded Windows XP and have been given a new
motherboard. Still my print spooler won't start. Lexmark
has been very nice but can't help because they say it's
an issue with Dell because the print spooler is part of
the operating system. Lexmark thinks maybe it's an error
in my operating system, but I'm wondering if that could
be possible. I've had my PC for almost a year. Why would
the error just show up now? But if it's not the
operating system, what else could it be? I'm at my wits
end and could use any suggestions I can get.
