read only folder attribute on XP
Check to see if you are also in another group
like "administrators". If you are then you have all rights unless someone explicitly didn't mark Full Rights. Click on the advance button to see advance security settings. If your username appears more than once and one of them has Full permissions then that why you can do everything. Anybody not in the list or just a plain user should only have read & execute rights. -----Original Message----- Hello, Does anyone know why XP applies the read-only folder attribute to all the folders although you can access, delte and manage those folders? On top of that, if you change that attribute by removing it in the General tab, it gets back. Thanks a lot Robert . |
