dos prompt
-----Original Message----- use taskman to kill "explorer" and all non system processes (except taskman, duh). Then start new process, cmd. That prompt will allow deletion of any file not in use or permission denied. Log out when done, or start new task and explorer if you dont need the stuff that was running. Notice how much faster things run when explorer is not running.... The problem is it is loaded on boot in msconfig, I uncheck the box, reboot and the damn thing is right back again. I need to get rid of this thing but am not familiar with taskman. -----Original Message----- I need to get to a dos prompt to delete a suspicious file, not an msdos window, and was curious how you do this in xp home. . . |
