Default WONT LOG ON!!!!

My Computer is a powerspec 9215 with xp pro sp2 installed, and it was
recently infected with the download.trojan virus. I followed the
instrunctions of removal that my antivirus program provided, and after this,
i rebooted the computer. When i did so, it was still in safe mode. I tried to
log in with my administrator account and it logged in, showing the loading
preferences window. (Also, where i originally logged in with the welcom
screen, now it logged in with the window that is normally to log in with
win95-dont know if this means anything) Suddenly, after about 1 second, it
changed the message to "closing network connections... Saving your
perfererences" window. Then it logged back out. pleas help me fix this
