Are you using Simple file sharing? (you can check by
going to startcontrol panelfolder optionsview tab go
all the way to the bottom of the check box list and see
if 'use simple file sharing is checked'.

What are the share permissions on the shared folder?

-----Original Message-----
Firewall is off. Which permissions? Already set
to "allow network users to change my files."

-----Original Message-----
make sure the built in firewall is off. and check the
permissions on the folder.

Hi, I have a small 4 station network at my home

office.
2
boxes have Win98, one has Win2000, and the 4th is

WinXPPro.

The first three see each other and share just fine,

but
can't see the shared directory on the WinXP machine.

The
XP box can see shares on the other computers and its

own
shared directory.

Any guesses as to what dumb little detail I'm missing?

thx.
