I just reinstalled XP and it appeared to go smoothly. However, the only account that existed was Adminstrator which I didn't mind at first and I did everything I needed to do to get my machine back up again. I reinstalled EVERYTHING and created all my email accounts on OE.

Then I went into User Accounts in Control Panel and created my separate account. It said I needed at least one account with Admistrator rights...no problem...that's me. After doing so though EVERYTHING I did as Administor was GONE and even the Administor login was gone and replaced my my name.

I really, really do not want to have to set up all my email accounts again and copy folders, addresses and messages all over again.

I tried changing my name to Administor but I got a message that the account already exists even though it's not displayed.

Is there a way to restore everything back or at least make everything I had for Administrator be used for my account?

Thanks much

that account never shows up in user accounts, go to admin tools then
computer management. I am sure you will find the account there. One fast way
to get to the admin account is to hit Ctr-alt-del twice from the welcome
scree, this will bring up the old style logon box. To have this box all the
time, go back to user accounts, select change the way users logon, then
unselect use welcome screen.
