ME was not a poor system dickhead.

Hello,
First off ME was a poor system and most people I talk to have said =

that. I have also heard that XP works better with 512 MG ram. Did you =
possibly go for XP updates without a firewall being turned on? That =
would be an open invitation to the blaster worm among many other virus =
problems if the Norton isn't working. I had ME crash and had many =
errors. Personally I found the best answer was to go into bios and set =
the system to reboot with the cd-rom first instead of the floppy. Then I =
reformated the hard drive when promted by the XP cd as to how I wanted =
to proceed after I restarted the pc. Now I happen to have a full =
version, if you have just the upgrade it may want you to put the ME disk =
in just to verify that you can legally use just the upgrade. Formatting =
the hard drive will wipe the slate clean. Then you reload the programs =
you want and need. It takes time and is extreme but I think this is the =
best way. At least it was for me. But remember to get your XP updates =
after reinstalling Norton Virus protection from a back up cd. Also turn =
on the XP firewall or purchase a better one to go with your Norton anti =
virus protection. If you don't you run the possible risk a another =
problem with a virus or trogan that would defeat all the work you just =
did. If you were not getting a lot of errors and the slow down, there =
might be some other options but in your case that is what I would do. =
And if programs are not working correctly this could also be as a result =
from switching windows systems. Then taking them out and reloading =
would need to be done anyway. So this is why I say reformat. Others may =
give you other ideas, the choice is up to you. Nick P.S. After all =
this, get on line for free Adaware and Spybot programs to keep pest out.

Tell me, do you lack personality or a brain? Since you started the name calling and want to fight a battle, I assume you are just a common moron who thinks he knows it all. I have had techs tell me when I had ME that I would be better off going back to 98
SE. And they were correct. Since you think it is such a great system then get off the XP site and go to the ME site where you belong. Although I don't believe you belong on any help site. If you are not here to help, why are you here? And I was wondering
oh great one, are you running ME or XP? Since you say it is the best, are you still using it? Your wasting my time, I try to help people when I can because I get help from time to time. Jerks like you ruin it for all! Nick

You didn't answer the question. Why did you buy XP when you could still buy ME? Is it because you know that ME is miles behind XP? You are the one spreading lies and calling names. If you had nothing to add to the original question that was posted and coul
d not offer any further info to the fellow who put down the post, you should of kept quiet. Given the things you have said and your lack of common sense and dignity for others, I was wondering how your house burned down? Was it the cigarette you dropped wh
en you passed out from being a drunk? Or was it your neighbors setting the house on fire hoping you were in it?

One you are spreading lies. I'm calling you on it. MS gave me 5 copies =
of XP, 4 x Pro and 1 x Home. It wasn't my house and I'm waiting for the =
inquerst to find out who lit the fire. My Nephew does blame his =
neighbour, the police don't believe him as only him and his father will =
be witnesses at the inquest.

First I have no reason to spread lies. I am not associated with anyone who would profit from XP sales. And you still didn't answer the question. I guess ignoring the question is a lot easier than answering it. And I guess myself and all the techs I have t
alked to from Best Buy and Circuit City and Comp USA along with the people at TechTV are all telling lies. You are the only one who is telling the truth. Fine whatever, you are still using XP insted of ME when you could of bought ME. I can't imagine why yo
u would do that when you had a choice and you claim ME is the best. You are saying whatever it takes to get the last word. I'd expect more from someone who was born in 1960. But I was born in 1956 and I know your type all to well. I am done waisting thread
s on you, your not worth it! Nick
