can i re-install windows xp with out the original disk?

When you mean reinstall, do you mean a clean install or a recovery? if you want a clean install;


Go to C:\i386 and locate winnt32.exe. run that and follow instructions from the program


If you want to revert to original factory condition than; Boot from the recovery CD or alternatively press ALT + F10 during post which will start the recovery process.
