Default courier bold font

I just purchased windows xp with my new pc and I have been
using Word and the courier bold font for my lecture
outlines and exams for years when I used a Mac. I cannot
find courier bold in the list of fonts with Windows XP
even though I have determined it should be there. What do
I do? Gateway product support has been no help. I found
a place where I can buy the font on line for $22, but
since I just spent $2,700 for a new system it seems as
though I shouldn't have to spend more for a lousy font.
Thanks for your help.....R. Lenn

Default courier bold font

Hi Lenn,

can you please give me some more details on the problem. I
assume that the same font is not available in XP (Word pad) so the text is
not being displayed properly. To change to one of the equivalent font
"courier new", you can open the document and choose select all options from
Edit menu and change the font to courier new and you can also make bold.

Hope this will help you. All the best. you can also mail me for further
queries.

Regards

Ravickumar M
