Default SP2 Security Center Virus Protection

After downloading SP2 in the security center I have
a "check status" under Virus Protection. Their
recommendation is for me to check to see that my
antivirus program (Norton 2003) is up to date and turned
on.

It is up to date and turned on and I did not check the
box to monitor my own antivirus program. I would like to
get rid of the "check Status." Any suggestions?

Thanks.

If it's up to date try disabling Norton, then re-enabling it. This happens
from time to time with my McAfee too.

The patch for the SP2 fix is a separate update program that must be
installed. Go to the following website to get the patch.

Symantec Support:
http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/sp2/faq.html

Click the Automated Solutions Tab and then click the "Start the automated
support assistant" button. This will scan your drive for Symantec products
and tell you what you need to download to make Norton compliant with the SP2
update.
