Default Firewall

Hi
I have just purchased the Internet Security - PC -
cillin - update. it comes with a Firewall - XP Home
Edition comes with a Firewall which I have to disable
when I load the CD. Will I be able to enable the XP
firewall afterwards. Will they work together.

Greetings Roy,

I haven't actually tried this myself, but in most cases, they should both work (although you
shouldn't need to run both). Keep in mind that you *might* experience some problems with
Messenger's direct connection features (like voice conversations, file transfer, etc.).

Hi Jonathon,

I am having the very problems you mentioned - unable to
use some of Messenger's direct connection features. What
is the workaround for that? I don't even know if its
XP's firewall or not, as I had disabled ICF and I still
cannot RECEIVE files in Messenger, but can send files.

thanks for any help!
