Default Windows Messenger kicks users off

We just started using Messenger to communicate between staff that are located
in different buildings, but it kicks the users out after 10 minutes or so.
You have to sign back in in order to start messenger again. Obviously this
isn't very helpful if you have to do that every ten minutes. Any ideas what
is causing this? It's happening on more then one pc.

Thanks.
