Please see at least one of these links for how to make a good newsgroup post: http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html I am not saying this to hurt your feelings but rather to help you maximize your chances of getting an answer. You might look into getting a new keyboard. Shift isn't working on yours and apparently the vowel keys are flaky. :- Okay, first the obvious. Did you actually check that the network cable is connected to your computer and also to the DSL or cable modem? Do you connect using USB to the DSL/cable modem? Are you using a wireless connection? We haven't a clue about your physical setup because you didn't tell us anything about it. Is the green Link light lit up on the DSL/cable modem (if that is to what your computer connects)? If you connect to a switch or NAT router, is its green Link LED lit up? Did you right-click on the LAN connectoid under the Network applet in Control Panel to see if maybe it is simply a matter that it got disabled (so you have to enable it again)? -- __________________________________________________ E-mail: Remove "NIX" and add "#LAH" to Subject. __________________________________________________ |
