Default Formating HD with XP

Bob,

The following information requires that you have a Windows XP CD.

You do it as part of a new setup of the system. Then run the XP CD,
enter Install, change Upgrade to New install, and when it asks you to
confirm where, hit ESC You can then select and delete the current
partition, create a new RAW one in its place and select it, then at the
next stage format it.

You may also want to visit the following site for some useful
information;

Greetings --

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
