Unable to load Java Applet in IE
Norris;
Try installing Java: Microsoft is removing Microsoft Virtual Machine from its websites and stopping distribution because of a court order: http://www.microsoft.com/java/ http://www2.whidbey.net/djdenham/VM.htm You can download Microsoft Virtual Machine from he http://www.biologylab.awlonline.com/ms_javavm.php You can download Sun Java he http://java.sun.com/getjava/ And a tip from Michel Gallant (MVP Security): Anyone downloading these VM installers should make sure that they are authentic versions, as originally distributed by Microsoft. I am not questioning the integrity of the files on these sites, but only making a suggestion about due-diligence security wise. You should verify the digital signature on these files: Right Click | Properties | Digital Signatures .. --- WinXP and Win9x (msjavwu.exe): ---------- File Version 5.0.3809.0 Signer: Microsoft Corporation Hash (SHA-1 Thumbprint): 282D 9806 C3DF 7345 929F 64F5 895E F2EA 4AC2 9302 --- Win2000 (Q810030_W2K.exe): ----------- File Version 5.3.10.0 Signer: Microsoft Windows 2000 Publisher Hash (SHA-1 Thumbprint): B42E 4175 6327 473A 45C1 8077 CF2B B314 51E4 D1C3 -- Jupiter Jones An easier way to read newsgroup messages: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...oups/setup.asp Please respond to newsgroup only for everyone's benefit.
