Default saving passwords

thank God
I have the same problem (also when filling in forms) and
i am also new since two weeks using xp. I have tried
about everything exept using an ax to force my machine.
So, now i feel a little less lonely and will keep looking
here till someone helps.
Tonight i downloaded the service pack (quite a long
process) but didnt restart the computer, perhaps
somewhere in it is the right pach, will see tomorrow and
write it to you if the solution is in there. Good luck
and thanks to you i 'll sleep tonight.

My system is about 6 weeks new to me.
My accounts and emails that require a username/password
will not save them after I reply 'yes' when asked by

the
system if I want the system to remember them. Any

clues
why they will not save?

Thanks

I went to properties on internet explorer and made sure
that in contents that a check was in prompt me to save
the passwords
.
